Since I was busy with a sick puppy, then too sad to walk on the trail since the puppy had to be sent to puppy dog heaven, I hadn't checked the Truth Cam in 10 days. So it was sort of nice when I finally made the lonely trip into the woods to the trail camera to find 100's of photos!
Oh yum! Looks like pumpkin for dinner.
What are you looking at?
Tastes like pumpkin.
Smells like pumpkin.
You're lookin' at my spike aren't you! Well I call it my ANTLER!
Best pumpkin I had today!
I think some one is coming.
So that's about what the camera saw for 10 days. Maybe it is time to move it to a different place?
I think I'd leave it right there with pictures like that! What an odd looking deer.
ReplyDeleteYes I will probably leave the camera where it is for awhile longer. There is a large meadow, and the Grand River just north of this spot.
ReplyDeleteIt is a rather odd looking deer. Maybe in months to come he will be back with more antler growth.
:)
Some very interesting shots! The buck may have shed its other spike already, it's that time of year. Next fall, he should be at least a forkhorn!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jerry for reminding me when bucks lose their antlers, I should have known that. Here I was thinking he just pushed out that one tiny spike! Some of the shots you can see where an antler might have been on the right side of his head.

We love your pictures from the Truth Cam!! NY niece:)
ReplyDeleteThanks NY Niece. Even after a year and a half I get excited about what I might see from the Truth Cam!
