We have had some hot days in Michigan, 90 degrees in May! Marie and I ventured outside anyway, into the heat, humid, and bugs. As usual it was a good day, we wandered Port Sheldon Natural Area for two hours. Then to Hofma Park and Preserve for two more hours! It was so green, trees, grasses, ferns, and moss.
Port Sheldon Natural Area is 440 acres including gently rolling terrain, woods, wildlife ponds and Ten Hagen Creek. Ottawa County Michigan.

I'd love to see the squaw root and the glaucus honeysuckle! I don't think either one grows here.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice walk!
Thanks, Allen We have a lot of Squawroot in our woods here at home. It is a curious plant. I was surprised when I checked the time on the second walk, two hours! Everything was so green. I think part of the reason our walks are fun, is that we wander, with no real agenda.
