Aman Park April 27 2026

Aman Park is in Ottawa County Michigan.  Marie and I explored for 4 hours on Monday April 27 2026.  It was a very pleasant walk.

The trillium and bluebells had just started to bloom. We saw many other plants and trees blooming too.  Here is some of what we saw that day.

  1. I was hoping you'd get to Aman Park, Chris. I can't thing of a more beautiful place!
The trilliums are always beautiful, and so are the bluebells. I never see any people though. I hope all that beauty is being seen!
You also saw cohosh, which was a surprise. Is that a wild phlox?
I've seen that starry Solomon's seal just once in my life. I found it here and can't remember where it was.
What are the plants in that last shot? I've never seen anything like them!
    Thanks for the tour!

  2. We did see several people at Aman Park, it is close to Grand Rapids, a fairly big city. The trillium were blooming along with the Virginia Bluebells although I think they were just starting to bloom. It is a beautiful place, most of the park is down in a wide ravine (I guess that’s what you would call it) and there are so many different plants and trees.
Yes, we saw Blue Cohosh and Wild Blue Phlox, some of the phlox were very purple-blue, some were almost pink.. The last picture is Canadian Lousewort also called Wood Betony. Thanks for the questions, I’m glad you enjoy the trillium.

  3. Thanks for the photos! They really remind me of the four hours we spent looking. I'm so glad we can get out and see all these wildflowers. M

    1. Yes I could use 4 more hours in the woods with you! It seems like we have both been busy lately, but busy for good reasons. And the time flies by when we go on an adventure! Thanks again for driving, I really really appreciate it! And check your center console soon! 🙂
