Aman Park Again!

             Large-Flowered Trillium Aman Park - April 28, 2017

Marie and I walked for three hours at Aman Park on Friday, the trillium were amazing!  The bluebells were a sea of blue.
                              Virginia Bluebells

Those are the most obvious plants blooming at Aman Park and there are many more.
We saw Redbud, Flowering Dogwood, Miterwort, Dutchman's Breeches, Squirrel Corn, many different violets, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Blue Cohosh, Early Meadow Rue, Wood Anemone, Wild Blue Phlox, Bellwort, Cut-Leaf Toothwort, Spring Beauty, Dwarf Ginseng, and more!

                                                             Buttercup

Wild Ginger, see in the picture below how this flower blooms right on the ground.

We saw these odd trillium again.

                                                    Wood Frog

                                      Wild Geranium
It was a nice day, with some blue sky.  Another great time in the woods.

We did see a ton of wildflowers. It was very therapeutic.
An ocean of white trilliums and a sea of bluebells.
That buttercup floating in air.
Look at that pale violet!
It has two white beards in the center.
They almost look like caterpillars!
Wild Ginger is a kaleidoscope inside.
You work hard to get these great photos.
The green-colored trillium is odd, indeed.
The Wood Frog almost blends into the background.
I think my favorite is the last wildflower - Wild Geranium!
Thanks for making the walk so relaxing. I needed that.

Your comments are great. We see so much together. We still have one or two mystery plants to figure out. One might be some sort of lily. And the other one, well wkt!
We know that! It is fun each new year to relearn the plants!

I really like the Virginia Bluebells, so pretty! I almost missed the wood frog completely until I saw the caption! I was looking for a flower at first, haha. Looks like it was a lovely walk. :) -B
