So this adventure is from June 11, 2012 - Pigeon Creek Park, Ottawa County Michigan
On our (our is my sister Marie and me) way to park we stopped along the road where we have visited a certain ditch, this ditch is filled with many different types of wildflowers in summer.
Along the trail at Pigeon Creek Park.
Also that day, we made a brief stop at Connor's Bayou, another Ottawa County park. This park is being "improved". For years we have admired the wildflowers along this driveway, New Jersey Tea, Poke Milkweed, Hare Figwort, Round-lobed Hepatica, and more. Unfortunately this drive has been widened so these plants have been bulldozed.
Squaw Root
Poke Milkweed (Asclepias exaltata)
So that's a little bit of June, right here on the first day of January 2013!

Nice to look at on this cold winter night. Thanks
Yup so much green, Thanks Dave and Happy New Year.
I'm all for June and can't wait to see it again. Isn't it a shame when they improve one thing, only to destroy even more? It's terrible to lose those all of those plants.
It is nice looking back to June, but then January can be pretty too, just not so green.
The plants at that park were along a driveway that had been there for years, maybe they will come back once the paving is done. Or not. Thanks for stopping by.
:)
Yes, that was great! June in January. Amazing.
Your photos always take me back to that very day.
Like a magic lantern, or rug, or door. Magic anyway.
Thanks for this. M :)
Marie you are funny, magic!
Now I have to get busy and post the other adventures from the summer. But no pressure, only do it if it is fun, right?
Thanks for proving you are not a robot, I was getting a whole bunch of spam, that's why I added that feature.
