I love your strolls through the woods! I took my children on a trail today. We saw many of the same plants in our woods. Our Trout Lilies haven't bloomed yet. I was happy to see your pictures of them. I look forward to your post in May! :)

Sister in the Mid-west, thank you. It is nice to get out on the trails especially with kids.
It is fun every Spring to see these wildflowers and try to remember their names.
Trout Lily just started blooming here in west Michigan, yesterday was 60 degrees, today 35 with some snowflakes.

Oh I hope you get back to see those trilliums! It's one of the best wildflower display I've ever seen.
I'd love to see hepaticas and Dutchman's breeches but they're as rare as hen's teeth here. Our trout lilies are behind yours. I haven't seen a single blossom yet.
You got some really great shots of the flowers!

Thanks, Allen. I have been using different cameras, including the IPhone my kids got me for Christmas, I'm a slow learner. It has been cool here, with only one 70 degree day. Today it is 24 and snowing! I'll give those trillium until at least May 1st to bloom, and I will visit Aman again.
Hepatica are my favorite.

You are welcome, Dave. It is amazing at Aman, mostly in a big ravine, and it gets flooded regularly. It must be what the plants like.
